When I came to Alachua in 2017, I only knew a few basic kirtan beats. I met Prahlad at the first Sunday program I attended and quickly began studying under him. I was glad to finally be able to play the stroke (nak) and slide (dugi) techniques. I am so happy and thankful for having the opportunity to learn mrdanga under Prahlad. It is because of Prahlad's teaching that I'm able to play along in temple kirtans and have a blast jamming on the mrdanga. I still practice as much as I can and look forward to each lesson.
